MISCELLANY
We are well aware that potential benefactors may find the sums required for our
various projects quite daunting and, for that reason, we have compiled a list of
USEFUL ITEMS FOR WHICH WE REQUIRE SPONSORSHIP.
Hopefully there is something to suit every purse ~
~ we are always happy to show visitors around and to discuss projects.

We have to pay post and packing charges, but can hold individual donations until it is worth placing an order.
Tree-planting can be enormous fun and a good teaching medium. Some trees provide fruit for food technology classes and others are purely ornamental.

Each tree can be labelled to show the sponsor.


Costs vary from around £25 to £50 including delivery, planting, staking and guarding against destruction by our deer population.


We have set ourselves the task of generating an income of £6,000 this year from the Victorian walled garden to cover the balance of the salary for the Instructor Gardener.

Perennials can be brought on and divided for re-sale and we need sponsors to enable us to purchase those perennials.  Please let us know when you are lifting and dividing your own hardy perennials - we will collect.

Any sum will be gratefully received and put to good use.
RUSTIC BENCHES - can be supplied and erected for £200 + VAT.
WAYMARKING POSTS - treated softwood posts complete with arrow direction markers could be supplied and erected throughout the woodland at a cost of £25 per marker.
SIGNS - we need signs for each of the projects and they must be durable. The wording should be in lower case, so that they can be easily read by children with learning difficulties, and we could repeat that in Braille with raised-headed nails underneath the letters. This might be a donation in kind from a talented woodworker.

Restoration of the period apple store is about to start and will be completed before the end of April, creating a Museum Classroom.

We need pictures and articles about gardening in Victorian times.

There is huge scope for sponsorship and every donation can be increased by a Gift Aid declaration. If you are a UK taxpayer we can reclaim tax paid on your donation and that will be approximately 28p for each £1 that you give.
