Rowdeford Garden Fair was held on Sunday 17th May 2009

The weather was dreadful:

A good 3 inches of rain fell whilst we set up the stands!

Sun broke through soon after we were open and it became

better and better until the afternoon - then wetter and wetter.

Nevertheless, we had over 800 visitors who enjoyed the day.

Standholders were full of praise for the organisation

and all want to come again next year - Sunday 16th May 2010.

Keith Jansz - English impressionist mouth painter - painted the scene before him and did much from memory because spectators stood admiringly and obscured his view.  The result was a staggeringly attractive picture which he has donated to us.

It was an entertaining day with something for everyone.

          The Town Crier announced

Carl Sadler's trug-making demonstration

Jack Stephens' children's entertainment

the climbing wall and face-painting

whilst the James Harpham Trio played jazz for us
