DISABLED ACCESS PROJECT

The charity's object is to advance education for children and young people with disabilities and special needs. It is therefore necessary that there should be disabled access for all facilities provided and we are taking steps to achieve that.

MAJOR ACHIEVEMENTS

Ramp for wheelchairs through the archway with gradual slope and turn.    £2,187

Wetland drainage to improve pathways

£1,450

Pathways refurbished with wheelchair-friendly Romsey gravel £2,850

FUNDS URGENTLY REQUIRED FOR:

Toilet facilities for the disabled.

There are suitable facilities in the main buildings and inclusion in all plans for the Sports Hall and Environmental Centre. There is, however, no current provision for visitors at times when the main buildings are closed, apart from one outside lavatory with historic cistern.

The requirement is for a ramp to be constructed from the car park to the green door and for the existing door to be replaced by a wider one.

The cost of these alterations will be circa £1,000

This page will be updated, as soon as Listed Building permission has been obtained, with a detailed quotation.
